Rory W. Moore is an award-winning photographer with an extensive background in content creation. His photographs have covered various topics such as events, sports, nature, and human interest stories, and his approach to subject matter is flexible with a diverse lens that grabs the visual attention of the human eye.

Moore ventured into photography by contributing to the yearbook department at Dallas Academy by providing fun shots of students and school activities. After graduating from High School in 2018, Moore went to Dallas College and became a photographer for the Et Cetera student newspaper at the school’s Eastfield campus where he worked for five years. He was promoted to photo editor in 2022 and won numerous awards for his extensive coverage of subjects on and off campus. He left the Et Cetera upon graduation in 2023 and is now a photographer for Tiger Media Network at Fort Hays State University.

While at Dallas College, Moore photographed various events in the span of 5 years including sports, resource fairs, rallies, lectures, and human interest stories such as the work of aspiring chef and Master Chef contestant Preston Nguyen. In 2022 and 2023, Moore traveled with the Eastfield Harvester Bees Baseball team to photograph their appearance in the NJCAA DIII World Series In Greenville, TN, where they finished runners-up in both years. He also traveled with the Eastfield Volleyball team to the National Tournament in Cedar Rapids, IA in 2023 where he documented the moments leading up to their championship title.

Since 2024, Moore’s work for Tiger Media Network has seen him take a community-based route by capturing special moments that define the Hays, KS area. His work includes photo galleries of the Hays Larks Baseball team, the town’s lemonade stand challenge, the Ellis County Fair and its events, functions on the Fort Hays campus, and the stories that Hays residents have to offer.

In addition to his photo work, he’s also experienced in feature writing and managing social media from journalistic and marketing-based perspective.
